Dr. Ioannis Arkadianos is the President-elect and co-founder of the European Lifestyle Medicine Organization (ELMO).
He graduated from Athens University Medical School. He is certified in General Medicine with extra Post Graduate studies in Obesity, Nutrition and Nutrigenomics.
He holds the SCOPE (Strategic Centre for Obesity Professional Education) Certification from the “World Obesity Federation” (WOF).
He is a pioneer Medical Doctor of Lifestyle Medicine in Europe, having practiced in this field for the last 30 years and was the President of the Organizing Committee of the “1st European Lifestyle Medicine Congress” (Geneva 10-11 November 2018), the “2nd European Lifestyle Medicine Congress” (Rome 8-10 November 2019), the "3rd European Lifestyle Medicine Congress - Virtual (5-7 November 2021)", the 4th European Lifestyle Medicine Congress (Athens 7-9 October 2022), the 5th European Lifestyle Medicine Congress (Budapest 10-12 November 2023) and the 6th European Lifestyle Medicine Congress (Brussels 23-25 Ocorber 2025)
He is an active member of the : Hellenic Medical Association for the Study of Obesity, World Obesity Federation, European Association for the Study of Obesity, American Society for Nutrition, Canadian Obesity Network, Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine, European Association of Preventive Cardiology, Mediterranean Lifestyle Medicine Institute, and the Going Forward Center
He is also a Council Member of the True Health Initiative
Member of Disciplinary Board of the Hellenic Medical Society for Obesity for the years 2023-2023 and former Chairman of the Disciplinary Board of the Hellenic Medical Society for Obesity for the years 2021-2022
He has over 100 attendance at conferences dealing with Obesity, Nutrition, Lifestyle Medicine, Internal Medicine, diabetes, metabolic diseases, Lipids Disorders, hypertension, nutrigenomics, etc.
He also has participated in speeches, oral presentations, posters, presidency, and presentation coordination at many Greek and international scientific conferences.
